A successfully treated Basal Cell Carcinoma using elliptical excision surgery

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is a non-keratinization cell-derived neoplasm. Surgical excision the most common way to remove tumor. The depends on tumor type, size, and location. This paper reported 44- years-old woman presented with chief complaint of single bump that bleeds easily in facial region began one year ago. Dermatology examination revealed hyperpigmented plaque an ulcer central, solitary, oval, 2 cm x 1 covered blackish crust top. A Dermoscopy showed blue dots globules, arborizing vessels, ulceration. Histopathology findings were concordance BCC. patient was treated elliptical surgical excision. lesion successfully removed good results minimal scarring. BCC occurs 75% all skin cancers. Elliptical left cheek performed after considering location anatomy, defect age, general condition postoperative cosmetic estimates. scar planned be fractional laser. prognosis generally good. There no recurrence until later. In conclusion, effective standard treatment if safe margin. this case, we used 5 mm outer
